Welcome to our Year 1 class, where curisity is celebrated, confidence is nurtured and every child is encouraged to become an enthusiatic, independent learner. 

Throughout the year, we build strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, while developing a love of learning through exciting topics, practical experiences and purposeful play. We encourage children to ask questions, solve problems, think creatively and work collaboratively as they explore the world around them.

This page has been designed to support learning at home as well as in school. You will find information about our current topics, phonics, reading, mathematics, home learning ideas, educational games and printable activities to reinforce key skills in a fun and engaging way. There are also resources to help develop fine-motor skills, handwriting and other important areas of learning.
