If your child is unwell and requires antibiotics or has a medical condition that requires medication during the school day then we will ask you to complete a form so that we can administer this safely and with your permission. Should your child have a serious medical condition then please arrange an appointment with your child’s class teacher and our SENCO so that together we can write-up a health care plan.
It is important to keep your personal details up to date in case we need to contact somebody in an emergency about your child. If we are providing medical care for your child it is important that medication is kept inside the original container and is in date, we will not be able to administer any medication if they have been removed from the original bottle/packaging.
If your child is unwell you should inform the school on their first day of absence by either telephone or by email. The school office is open from 8:30am, but you can phone earlier and leave a message if you wish. You will then need to do this on each day of their absence please.
Should your child be unable to participate in their PE lesson or swimming lesson then please email the school office.
